Here’s another fact you probably didn’t know- Atlantic City currently hosts the LPGA Classic every spring and has hosted the PGA, inaugural PGA Senior Tour and USGA Major Championships. In 1911, Atlantic City professional Johnny J McDermott became the first American to win the USGA Open Championship. And PGA Champion, Sam Snead took his first major championship right here in AC in 1942.
